Thanks again for the Shepastor Blog. Alw...Chris,

Thanks again for the Shepastor Blog. Always interesting. It is so amazing that as little girls we were taught to "Dare to be like Daniel, " or to listen for the call of God just as young Samuel did. But then, when we did dare to be like Daniel, or did hear God calling we were told, "Oh no honey, that's just for boys." Then the teaching became that God created us for another role, and that we should willingly embrace that role. Very confusing!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-385876778990619768.post-23261219233222064742011-03-30T21:07:49.732-04:002011-03-30T21:07:49.732-04:00What a timely message that I eceived today. The supportive message for women who know that they have been called, can put to bed any fears, that may have been expressed by persons that espoused opposite belief's. Even family members. As I fasted today, I received supportive evidence from another venue.Someone has been sending me "Wisdom Hunters, a trusted resource for wise living." the message today is titled "Patient People Wait. Most interestingly is the statement...Waiting is also the Lord's time to prepare our character. It further states that Pride demands that we have things now, but humility sees the worth in wisely waiting. Praise God for wise people like you, and the author of The wisdom hunters , who provide relevant, and timely advice for those of us who wait.
RJ.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-385876778990619768.post-549835068745905212011-03-30T21:05:02.525-04:002011-03-30T21:05:02.525-04:00Thank you. The call does seem confusing at times.
Is this really God or am I going through mid-life crises?
Is it worth all this ...going to seminary for four-plus years and getting in debt as I am about to retire or will
God meet all my needs according to His riches in glory?
Why should I complete a doctorate when I have two masters and have work faithfully in the church and when others (males) just walk off the street into the pulpit...half illiterate?
Why should I stress myself out in my golden years when I should be home "baking cookies for my grand kids (as one instructor "rightly" said to me and others). Yes, ... the walk can become very foggy at times, but until the Lord says STOP, I will press towards the mark of this high calling (His), that He has placed upon my life.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
